GUILTY has always been a band with a
difference: having sought to add a new foundation to popular music. With the broad strokes
of jazzier chords combined with the traditional grit of rock, GUILTY breathes new life into
the music world. As In The Mix Magazine said, "If the United States has anything to
contribute to the world stage of music, music like this (Guilty) is it." This is just one
of the many favorable reviews given to GUILTY's debut compact disc, Extenuating Circumstances
on Guilt By Association Records.
The band is led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Phil Circle, and includes professionals from
the rock, jazz and blues scenes. Phil has incorporated as Grassroots Productions and joined
with co-producers Sean Morrison, owner of Chicago's BLAM Recording, and Laurél Holman to
create a label just for GUILTY. And so, Guilt By Association Records presents:
